CSPIRe Plus Response to SEND Green Paper
SEN Wordcloud
We welcome the government's commitment to give greater control to children and young people and their families. Here is our response to the SEND Green Paper. Too many families find the existing arrangements confusing and stressful and we look forward, in due course, to more developed proposals to reduce bureaucracy and constrain the adversarial nature of the current system.

We particularly support proposals for a single assessment process and "Education, Health and Care Plan" and to introduce personal budgets. We have no doubt that a key element of the government's strategy must be to equip staff across all agencies to employ person centred approaches in support of children and young people and their families and to help them achieve their ambitions.
